'Vipera Berus' - 4

Took a short walk today and managed to spot 9 different "huggormar" as we call them in Sweden (common European viper / common adder [Vipera Berus]). This one was in a pit with 2 other vipers; one with the same brown/black colourscheme and one black/blue. They are really keen on sunbathing and this time of year (early spring) they get out of hibernation and surface from their hides under ground. This is the time of year they are most easily spotted as they can be quite sluggish due to their bodytemperature not reaching optimal degrees, and the vegetation for hiding has not yet really started to grow.
